“We care deeply about the homes we build — these decisions are not taken lightly.”
Some people ease into homebuilding. Brian built his way into it, one trade at a time. He started out as a roofing, siding, and gutters superintendent, learning the industry from the trade side — but he always knew where he wanted to end up.
This is where I always saw myself, and this was always the plan for me.
Before joining Dryden Homes, Brian was a superintendent on the trade side. Building homes was always the goal. "I'm just happy I was given the opportunity, to join a very friendly and family-oriented company that treats everyone with respect." he says of the day it finally came together.

What Drives Him
Ask Brian what's kept him in homebuilding after ten years in construction, and the answer isn't complicated.
Building a home from the ground up for families, and delivering a quality product that I'm proud to put my name on.
As superintendent across Alder Grove and Heritage Pointe, Brian's day starts before the trades ever show up. He arrives early to make sure the site is ready, then spends the day solving problems as they surface, keeping oversight across every part of the neighborhood, and scheduling and projecting dates so each trade can complete its work on time.
It's a job built on decisions most buyers will never see — but would care about deeply if they knew.
"Every day we make decisions that are hidden behind the walls and finishes that they don't know about," Brian says, "but affect the durability and performance of the homes we build for decades to come."
His Philosophy
For Brian, quality isn't about what's on the surface. Quality starts long before the concrete is poured or walls go up; it starts with the mission to uphold a standard that puts craftsmanship, integrity, and the homeowner's trust above all else — a standard we're proud to have him help us carry forward as the newest member of our team.
Quality isn't the finishes or what's on the outside. It's about what's not seen — building the house the correct way, the way I would want my own house built.
If a buyer is nervous about the building process, this is what he wants them to know: "I am a very detail-oriented person, and every home has been gone through with the utmost care and attention to detail that I expect from myself."
That standard is also what makes the job hard. "The coordination that it takes," he says, describing the toughest part of the role. "There are many different moving parts, and every decision affects the next trade."
Ask him which part of a build he loves most, though, and he doesn't hesitate: framing. "I'm proudest when I'm walking a home before closing," he says, "and knowing every detail and decision came together to build this home."
The Best Part of the Job
Seeing a family's excitement over their new home, and those who've loved theirs for decades makes the coordination, early mornings & rigorous standards worthwhile. Brian still thinks about a homeowner in Heritage Pointe who told him something he hasn't forgotten.
Her house that she purchased from us was the best home she has ever lived in, and our warranty department was the best she ever dealt with.
Warranty work, in fact, is where Brian says he's proudest. "Many times home warranty situations can be frustrating for homeowners," he explains, "but it gives our team a chance to show our commitment again. Completing all the work and leaving a customer happy and satisfied is what makes me proud."
Behind that pride is a habit: "Taking the time to verify that every trade is performing the work to the standards Dryden Homes expects — even the small details."
If he could tell every new homebuyer one thing about how their home is built, it would be that dozens of skilled tradesmen and women commit to providing Dryden Homes quality on every home to bring it to the finish line.
Life Beyond the Build
Brian doesn't currently live in a Dryden home — but he and his family bought a 10-year-old Dryden home before he ever started working here. Seeing the quality of that home firsthand is part of what told him this was a company he'd be proud to work for.
Family is his biggest priority, and he's proud to build in the same communities he'd build in for his own family. Outside of work, you'll find him on the golf course, reading up on history, or playing guitar. On his days off, his goal is simple: spend as much time with his family as possible.
Looking Ahead
Brian is excited about where Dryden Homes and the industry are heading — the projected growth means bringing more families great-quality houses.
His goals are close to home, literally and otherwise. "Personal — be the best father I can be to my two daughters," he says. "Professional — be the best superintendent I can be." He hopes to keep contributing as much as he can to the team, bringing quality homes to buyers for years to come.
Ask him what he'd say directly to a family considering a Dryden Homes to build their next chapter, and he doesn't have to think long:
